Naturally fermented, unpasteurised and non-carbonated semi-dry cider, naturally sparkling in the bottle (minimum 3 months).
Golden in colour with orange tints. Tiny bubbles, discreet head. Intense aroma. Aroma of ripe fruit (especially grenier apples).
Round and generous taste. The sweetness is perfectly balanced with a smooth bitterness. A hint of astringency remains on the palate.
Pairing The young Pays d'Auge cider (spring to autumn), with its round, fruity flavour, is ideal for cream dishes and desserts, especially apple desserts (Normandy tart, Normandy soufflé, etc.), galettes, crepes and galettes des Rois.
Pays d'Auge single-malt cider is stronger and goes well with white meats and some red meats (lamb chops, duck breast, etc.).
After a year and a half, Pays d'Auge can be enjoyed with Norman cheeses such as Pont l'Evêque, Livarot or Camembert.
